Technological entrepreneurship at oil and gas knowledge-based companies plays an important role in the growth of societies by increasing the technological capacity of the economy through the production, transfer, and dissemination of technological products in today's competitive era. Due to the technology-oriented nature of the oil and gas industry and the high costs of its research and development, oil and gas knowledge-based companies face a lack of internal resources such as capital and human resources in the path of technological entrepreneurship. They can overcome these challenges by adopting open innovation. Therefore, the study aimed to identify and prioritize the factors affecting the acceptance of open innovation in these companies. The study identified 8 main factors and 72 indicators affecting the choice of open innovation knowledge-based companies of Oil and Gas Technological Entrepreneurship through content analysis. Then, 15 key experts were selected by purposive sampling method to collect the opinions by a questionnaire. Data analysis and prioritization were performed through fuzzy Delphi, fuzzy Dematel, and fuzzy ANP. Findings showed that entrepreneurial characteristics (personality-behavioral), the market of high-technology products and services, technological factors and cooperation networks for innovation, core skills of the company, organizational characteristics, human resources, and government and institutions were respectively identified as the most important factors influencing the adoption of open innovation. As a result, identifying and prioritizing the factors can help to reduce the costs of research and development, develop technology, continue the growth of oil and gas knowledge-based companies, and develop the continuous progress of countries that owned oil and gas resources.
