Welfare Effects of Natural Gas Subsidy Removal (2010-2015)

In this study, the welfare effects of natural gas subsidy removal has been explored calculating compensating variation (CV) for Iranian households during 2010-2015. For this purpose, price and income elasticities were estimated using auto-regressive distributed lag (ARDL) method for 1989–2013 period. Acooring to the Results, the payment of 11% of the subsidy as a direct cash compensative to each person can compensate the natural gas price increase. |
