"Since natural gas has the largest share in the country's energy mix and is considered the cleanest fossil fuel, its production, consumption, and management significantly impact the country's energy security. Due to its cleanliness, with renewable energies, it is also regarded as important components in the transition to sustainable energy sources. Given that Iran has the second-largest natural gas reserves in the world and is geographically positioned among gas-producing countries in the Middle East and Central Asia, as well as gas-consuming countries in Asia and Europe, Iran has a high potential to become an energy hub in the region and play a key role in the regional and global natural gas market. Additionally, due to its high solar radiation potential, Iran has significant capabilities for generating electricity from this renewable and clean source. The aim of this research is to examine the challenges and opportunities of natural gas and solar energy and to provide strategies based on grey relational analysis to improve Iran's energy security. The analysis method of this research is based on grey relational analysis. The results indicate that electricity production and the export of energy carriers have the greatest impact on Iran's energy security."
