The late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, especially in developing countries, has had various outcomes on the economic, social, physical, and ecological backgrounds. One of the most important consequences is the increase in consumption and demand for energy resources. Given that cities devour most of the world's energy, the optimal use of energy resources as one of the most prominent strategies for economic, social, cultural and environmental development of cities can be used by urban planners. One of the most important effective levers for the development of urban planning and optimization of urban energy consumption is to pay attention to urban land use planning. In this study, four neighborhoods of Sanandaj have been analysedand evaluated through land use planning based on energy efficiency approach .The main softwares used are Arc GIS, Ecotect, Super decision research. The results show that neighborhoods at the center of Sanandaj city, which ranked the first and second stage in energy efficiency. The most important principles for increasing energy efficiency of Sanandaj city are: creating new nuclei in the city's population centers and turning it into a multi-core city, adopting urban regeneration policies in the city's central neighborhoods and using appropriate strategies to improve "functional", "transport and communication" factors and "Physical and Infrastructure" in the suburbs.
